True North Leader with Bobby Albert

Nov 30, 2022

God used Jill Donovan's rustic beginnings to form a business that would bless women and fuel their faith. In 2004, Jill was in for a big surprise when she found herself on Oprah. Jill was there to talk about her regifting closet and got a real punch to the gut when expert guests for the segment said regifting was rude! So, Jill went home and turned her regifting closet into a space where she made cuffs with motivational sayings. This passion project turned into a business that exploded - Rustic Cuff. In this interview, Jill tells Bobby that it took time to find God's path for her career and how this lesson taught her to stay put when he says, "Don't move." and to act even when it doesn't make sense to anyone else. Jill doesn't make a move without the Lord, and neither should you! Tune in for rustic lessons in leadership.

About the guest: There are two simple but strong words that describe Jill Donovan perfectly, "passionate" and "purposeful." Founder of Rustic Cuff and author of The Kindness Effect, Jill graduated from Oral Roberts University and went on to earn her law degree from the University of Tulsa. She is married to Terry, her college sweetheart and has two beautiful daughters. Jill was a practicing attorney and adjunct law professor at TU when her passion for cuff bracelets, and her need to refill her' gift closet' led her to begin Rustic Cuff. Now a sought-after motivational speaker, Jill encourages people to pursue their passions, fulfill their God-given purpose, and always pay it forward! From a young age, Jill has met life with humor and zeal. She is often heard saying, "You can truly change your world… one act of kindness at a time."
